The PlayStation Network has a total of 108 million monthly active users as of June 30, 2023, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced during its financial results for Q1 2023.
The figure is up five million during the same period for the previous financial year, although to be fair the figure does fluctuate on a yearly basis.
Elsewhere, the console maker announced that combined PS5 & PS4 software sales hit 56.5 million during three-month period ended June 30, representing an increase of 9.3 million year-on-year. Of those games sold, 6.6 million were first-party game and digital downloads represented 72% of all software moved during the period.
As previously reported, Sony announced during the financial results that the PS5 has now shipped 41.7 million units worldwide, with 3.3 million consoles shifted during the quarter ended June 30, 2023. Unusually for Sony, the company did not disclose PS Plus subscriber figures as it usually does at the end of its financial quarter.
